Whether you are a student looking to participate in one of the most exciting programs in the Valley, a parent looking to engage your child or obtain information and documents about our program, an adult seeking to invest in the lives of youth by volunteering as a coach or mentor, or someone looking to invest financially into a rising generation – you’ve come to the right place.
Young people are one of the largest, most critical, and yet most woefully underrepresented segments of civil society. Among young people are some of the most vulnerable human beings in the world. Youth and children are disproportionately subject to poverty, violence, exploitation, and other forms of injustice that are simply no longer acceptable at the dawn of the 21st century when humanity has in its hands enough wealth, technology, and knowledge to do better.
Investing in children and youth – including street children – is not only a question about human rights and social justice, but also has potential economic benefits. Investing in children and youth is likely to have positive spillover effects, in terms of turning them into productive participants of society and preventing crime whereas not investing in these groups is likely to have negative spillover effects in terms of increased crime rates and poverty.
The staff and volunteers at the A.M.E.N Initiative (Advanced Mentoring Enrichment Net-work) and its Midnight Basketball component are arduously working to equip, engage, and empower the youth of the City of Allentown.

Who Are We?
The Advanced Mentoring Enrichment Network is a collaborative effort of the City of Allentown, its Faith-Based Office, local, regional and national organizations coming together for the purpose of Equipping, Engaging and Empowering the youth of the City of Allentown. It is our goal to Equip them with the necessary tools to graduate high school and continue to pursue a post-secondary education. It is our mission to Engage them through Midnight Basketball, workshops, clinics, field-trips and group mentoring to the extent they will develop the character and tenacity to understand “the sky is the limit”. We will strive to provide the necessary resources and networking opportunities to Empower program participants to lead by example and think outside the confinements of “just” a local environment or their current surroundings.
A.M.E.N Project
The objective of A.M.E.N. is to link primarily inner-city youth, ages 12-17 to coaches (Midnight Basketball) and mentors for the purpose of establishing long term relation-ships and men-tor them into becoming well rounded, educated, empowered citizens who will stay off drugs, refrain from gang involvement, pursue post-secondary education and ultimately be able to duplicate those efforts into generations to come.
